Little Car Show, Big Presence

Now in its 9th year, The Little Car Show bills itself as “a fabulous display of little cars with up to 1601cc engine displacement, plus all electric cars”.

In past years, this might have been accurate, but this year the show could have been called “The Show With Smaller English Cars.”

This isn’t all bad, but instead of the usual eclectic mix of micro cars, we saw way more Minis, Lotus Elans and MG T Series than we usually see at this show.

Minor quibbles aside, this free show ($25 to enter your own car) happens right downtown in Pacific Grove, California during Monterey Car Week, and is presented by the non-profit Marina Motorsports. It’s a great time, and it’s criminal to miss the quaint old Pacific Grove restaurants and shops if you’re in town for Car Week.
