I don't know is considered "regular" competition, but Tom Price actively vintage races his 250 GTO. He was in my grid at this years Sonoma Historic Vintage Festival at Sears Point Raceway, Sonoma, CA.

The Maranello Rosso Collection car, chassis number “3851 GT”, was the 19th 250 GTO Berlinetta in sequence.
The Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction on August 15, will be featuring “10 Important Motor Cars from the Maranello Rosso Collection.” Among the featured listings will be a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta and a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing.
The Ferrari was the last of the GTO’s to see regular competition, being driven in vintage racing events into the 2000’s. It is also the longest single-ownership Ferrari 250 GTO.
