Is this Lotus 61 an affordable ticket into vintage racing? | Car Catcher

Sponsored Content Presented by Wire Wheel Classic Sports Cars.

The Lotus 61, often used to compete in Formula Ford, was built as a sort of beginner’s car for open-wheel racing.

It’s fitting, then, that this 1969 Lotus 61 Formula Ford is available for a very entry-level price–at least for vintage racing at less than $30,000.

Finished in the iconic Lotus Gold Leaf livery, the 61 is powered by a 1600cc Ford Kent engine that reported to have only five running hours on it since it was rebuilt by specialist Gary Dausch.

Find this 1969 Lotus 61 Formula Ford for sale from Wire Wheel Classic Sports Cars for $26,900.
