What makes this 1965 Lotus-Ford 38 particularly special? Besides the fact that it’s the fifth chassis out of the total eight built, it also has an extensive history of drivers that includes Jim Clark, A.J. Foyt, Gary Congdon and Crockey Peterson. It’s 16-race career started with a 1965 contest at St. Ursanne-Les Rangiers in Switzerland.
Entered on behalf of the Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance Foundation, this Lotus-Ford 38 is reported to have been built “from spares with symmetrical suspension and using some parts from the original 38/2.”
