There’s been more than a century of motorsport. And the Petersen Automotive Museum takes you on a journey through that time with 11 iconic race vehicles in its latest exhibit, “Driven to Win: The Automobile in Competition.”
The collection runs the course of 100-plus years, starting with a 1913 Mercer Type 35-J Raceabout once owned by F1 World Champion Phil Hill to a 2018 McLaren MCL33 F1 car. The vehicles cover the gamut of disciplines, too, from IndyCar to land speed to road racing to rally to drag racing to stock car racing.
The exhibit opened this past weekend and will run through 2025.
