The Petersen Automotive Museum announced a brand-new exhibit, “The Color of Success: McLaren’s Papaya Livery.” As you might have guessed, the display will feature legendary race cars–new and old–from one of the most successful constructors in motorsports history, McLaren.
Specifically, the collection focuses on periods when McLaren made use of its now-iconic orange paint scheme, and includes machines like the M6A Can-Am racer, 2018 MCL33 Formula 1 car, 1969 M6 GT (one of only three in the world) and the M16 USAC car.
The exhibit is set to open to the public on June 18 and can be found on the Petersen’s second floor in the Charles Nearburg Family Gallery.
