A collection of 32 cars–and one engine–belonging to NASCAR Hall of Fame Crew Chief and former NASCAR team owner Ray Evernham will cross the auction block at the 35th Dana Mecum’s Original Spring Classic: May 13-21 at the Indiana State Fairground.

Looking for a piece of racing history? The collection has several, like the winning 1965 Brawner Hawk Ford Dean Van Lines Special Indy Car driven by Mario Andretti, a Holman-Moody 1968 Ford Torino driven by David Pearson, the 1970 Plymouth Superbird used as a pace car at Bristol Speedway, and even Buddy Baker’s 1969 Dodge Hemi Daytona–the first car to top 200 mph on a closed circuit.
Learn more about the collection and auction at mecum.com, and look for some track tips from Evernham in the upcoming June issue of Grassroots Motorsports.
