What do we again see at The Amelia? Some of the world’s finest–and most storied–cars.
Like the Porsche 917/30 driven by Mark Donohue to the 1973 Can-Am championship–and, some add, the death of the series.
Or the Ford GT piloted by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon to the win at Le Mans in 1966. Ford, finally, had beaten Ferrari.
Or the Beast, the USAC sprint car driven by a then up-and-coming Jeff Gordon, The Amelia’s honoree. He’d go on to become one of NASCAR’s greats.
Well, you get the picture.
The Amelia again welcomed some 250 cars to the Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island, Florida. Enjoy the highlights:
