After more than 30 years, Michael Engard has handed over the keys to Ragtops & Roadsters as well as Pollock Automotive Restoration, both of his restoration shops. Private investment group TAF Automotive, Inc. has purchased both companies.
“TAF Automotive, Inc. acquired the business operations and assets in the transaction, and will continue to operate the business from both the 6,000-square-foot Ragtops & Roadsters building at 203 S. Fourth Street in Perkasie, PA, and the 26,000-square-foot Pollock workshop at 70 S. Franklin Street in Pottstown, PA.,” the release states. “The business will operate under the Ragtops & Roadsters name and will build on its reputation for providing high-quality services to the classic car community.” TAF Automotive recruited Bryan Joslin, formerly of the Eastwood Company and Doorman Products, to oversee the daily operations.
As far as Michael and Peggy, his wife, who served as the company’s office manager? “We’re proud of the business we’ve built and the amazing work our staff has done over the years, and we feel the results speak for themselves,” Engard said in the release. “But we’re looking forward to some travel that doesn’t require towing a trailer or setting up a company tent.”
