Nice to hear about the Triumph challange and see a picture of the now obscure GT-6+ but what car WAS the winner driving -for sure- it isn't mentioned! perhaps that blue car shown has a triumph engine?
Cheers

Tony Drews won the 2023 Kastner Cup, an award honoring Triumph racers, during the WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman at Road America.

“This is unbelievable. Wow!” Drews said upon receiving the Kastner Cup. “I feel so blessed to be a part of this community. These events [the Kastner Cup] are absolutely the highlight of my year. Thank you so much for this. I can’t tell you how deeply touched I am.”
Drews becomes the first second-generation Kastner Cup awardee. His father, the late Jack “Uncle Jack” Drews, won the first Kastner Cup at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in 2003.
Named for the late R.W.“Kas” Kastner, the Kastner Cup is open to drivers of race-prepared, Triumph-powered cars. The Cup is presented to one competitor based on results (50%), presentation (25%) and attitude about and interest in vintage racing (25%).

Drews is a well-known and respected member of the vintage community and a long-time resource in the Friends of Triumph family.
With this year marking the 70th anniversary of Triumph, the 2023 Kastner Cup served as the featured marque for the Road America weekend. It was the first time the event returned to the Wisconsin track since 2013, when it was part of the VSCDA’s Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival.
The 2024 Kastner Cup will be held April 26-28 at Sonoma Raceway, in conjunction with an SVRA weekend.

Yes, that blue car does have a Triumph engine: It’s the Peter Brock-designed Triumph TR250K, a special project for the late Kas Kastner.
