I don't hate it. But I am not sure if I like it either.

While Jaguar recently unveiled its new branding for an all-electric future, TWR revealed a real-world example of its reimagined XJS. That is the TWR Supercat, a car based on the storied Jaguar. The company proudly touts its supercharged V12 producing 660-plus horsepower, but there is much more than that.
For instance, it comes with a six-speed manual, yet remains rear-wheel drive. A carbon-fiber body helps reduce the car’s weight from 3902 pounds to 3538. A double wishbone suspension features modern active damping. Five different driving modes and fully programmable traction control. An improved aerodynamic profile. Bigger 18-inch wheels up front and 19-inch wheels in the rear, as opposed to the XJS-stock 15-inchers. Plus creature comforts for today, such as an infotainment center supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Supercat is the first creation from TWR, which was co-founded by Fergus Walkinshaw, the son of famed Jaguar race car driver and race team owner, the late Tom Walkinshaw.
“Almost 40 years after my father’s original company dominated the racetrack, we’ve brought the TWR name roaring back with our new Supercat,” said Fergus in a press release. “Our debut product, designed as an authentic, analogue Super-GT for the committed driving enthusiast, has been developed for over three years by some of modern motorsport’s brightest talent.”
Production is limited to 88 examples, and the bespoke commissions start at £225,000 (approximately $285,000 USD). Learn more at twrperformance.co.uk.
