What makes this chess set special? It’s designed by Rolls-Royce.

Checkmate, but make it extravagant.

Did you know that Rolls-Royce also makes a chess set?

Like its cars, the set features all the luxury: embedded pieces, spacious layout, polished details and hand-fitted veneers with the grains arranged to create subtle patterns.

For some customization, the playing board is available in four different veneer combinations, while the exterior and piece holder can even be personalized using one of 13 Rolls-Royce high-end leather colors.

The price? Available upon request. We can only guess at the figure–but don’t be surprised if it’s more expensive than the typical new car.

You know what? Not as gaudy as I thought it was going to be.

I was in the chess club in high school. We didn’t have Rolls-Royce boards.
