First, the roll cage, trunk and underside of the hood get painted.
Then the top sides of the Tornado are painted in PPG base/clear coat finish. Man this paint looks good!
Our finished body with it’s red accent stripe, that will also wrap around the nose.
Finally after nearly three months, our project Tornado Typhoon gets painted. When we first saw the finished body we were just blown away. It came out extremely well. Every line is perfect. The car is straight as an arrow and we are so happy about our choice to paint it Colonial White, the same color as our Edsel wagon. This warm white looks so good against our red accents and the stripe around the nose looks period correct. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
