The upright panels that covered the interiors of our Corvette’s quarter panels were also in pretty rough shape. In addition to being bent up a bit, these white panels were stained, and one had even been covered with fabric twice. This was a bit of a mystery, as we doubt the factory would have done this.
We removed this extra piece of material and put it aside, as it may come in handy when we try to repair the seats a bit later in our journey.
The repair on these two panels was quite straightforward: Clean, re-glue and then paint, this time with the correct white interior paint from Top Flight Automotive. Total cost: about $30.
