The Orange Blossom Tour is a 1000-mile scenic drive around Florida that starts and ends in Amelia Island. We departed a few days ago from our starting point with the rest of the group—a combination of beautiful, rare and exotic cars—and will return after the better part of a week is behind us, just in time to kick off the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance and the auctions that occur that weekend.
Other than a gas gauge that quit working, we have had no trouble with our Mercedes-Benz project 230 S after day one of the tour. It has been a joy to drive and has run cool and comfortably all day long. We are thrilled with how all our modifications turned out and how much fun and how practical this odd car is.
