I had to remove the cover over the gas tank first.
Once the cover was removed, I took out the four bolts holding the tank in the car.
After the tank was removed, I found out that it was clean and rust free.
I wanted to get the Spitfire running on its own fuel supply, so I removed the gas tank from the Spitfire to clean and inspect it for rust or fuel varnish.
