Porsche Classic was set up by Porsche to help owners, dealers and independent service centers share information on classic and special Porsches, starting with the 356 and currently running through the Carrera GT. Models are added 10 years after their run ends.
We love the fact that Porsche cares about their classic cars and our readers who own them. Sharing information and providing hard to find parts is vital to any marque’s history and health, and Porsche has stepped up in a big way to provide the services owners need.
In addition to providing parts and information, Porsche Classic has full restoration facilities in both Atlanta, Georgia, and in Stuttgart, Germany, for owners who want their cars restored by the company that built the car in the first place.
Our second partner is the Nort Northam Collection. It sells and services Porsche and Mercedes-Benz cars.
Owner Nort Northam has been racing Porsches in everything from local PCA autocrosses to the 24 Hours of Daytona and has been working with these cars since the ’70s. He presently drives a modified 986 Boxster S and is a big fan of this model. His shop is located in Orlando, Florida, less than an hour from our workshop. Nort and his factory-trained technicians have agreed to teach us and our readers everything the knows about early Boxsters
