The last time this 1965 Apollo GT ran was during the filming of Disney’s ‘The Love Bug’ in 1968. This car was prepared for Disney by the legendary Max Balchowsky of ‘Old Yellar’ fame. Driven by the villain Peter Thorndyke, the ‘Thorndyke Special’ was Herbie’s nemesis throughout the movie. The car is currently undergoing a total restoration in Canada
