I have four Volvo Amazons (122's in the US)and they are an absolute kick in the ass to drive and work on. They are brutally tough, simple to repair, amazing to drive and they make me damned glad that I can claim to be a Swede!
There are a lot of cool old cars in Humboldt County. It's not quite Cuba, but the residents are resourceful indeed. Walking to a friend's house there last weekend, I spotted a late 60s Datsun Fairlady roadster decaying in a carport surrounded by redwood trees.
