This Mini is rare and in exceptional condition. Absolutely no rust, no scratches, dings or dents. Interior is perfect as well. 31,8xx miles runs great, shifts smoothly and best of all it is registered in California properly as a 1969, thus no emissions testing or catalytic converter required. I purchased it in November 2022 from a long time friend. The car was covered and parked in his neighbors garage. It was only driven rarely. He bought the car in the UK and had it delivered to California in 2001. He used it sparingly and then placed in storage. The Mini was transported to my home in Capitola and I worked on getting it running. Installed a new battery, drained the gas, replaced the fuel filter, flushed the radiator, replaced the brake lines, installed new brake pads and shoes, adjusted the valve lash, steam cleaned and painted the engine, polished with Menserna 3800 Super Finish and waxed with Zymol Glasur. Interior detailed. I am an experienced automobile restorer , over the last few years I restored a Karman Ghia, BMW 2002, Porsche 914, Citroen 2CV/6 and six motorcycles. I’ve owned eight Porsche’s and have a 1964 MGB that I’ve owned for 58 years. Always garners smiles and waves and many questions at shows and cars and coffees and it is a hoot to drive. Easily cruises at 70, about 3500 RPM and runs about 34 MPG. This car came to me unannounced via a casual conversation with my friend over lunch. My first Mini but not my first British Car. I’m selling only because another Citroen is coming to me and my garage is full. The Mini is truly a keeper as many have told me , “now that’s a real Mini!”.
