1975 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4

Named in honor of Enzo Ferrari’s late son, the Dino marque was created for Ferrari’s mid-engine cars with fewer than 12 cylinders. In 1976 Ferrari unceremoniously ended the marque, rebranding it as Ferrari. The 308 GT4 2+2 was a groundbreaking model: The first production Ferrari with a mid-engine V8, a configuration for which the marque is now renowned. It was also the only Bertone designed production Ferrari, and the only 2+2 raced with factory support. This example is a Series I car boasting 240 hp and the classic gated manual shifter. Originally sold new at Ferrari of Los Gatos, this car has been in California its entire life. In 1989 the fourth owner repainted the car red, but engine damage kept it in storage for 25 years. The fifth owner undertook major repairs, making the car roadworthy. Realizing a lifelong dream in 2021, the I became the sixth owner and returned the car to its original color and Dino badging.
