I never did see anything too bad about the Wedge, other than build quality on the early ones. But a TR8 or a late TR7 soft-top can be a really nice car.
Just beginning the restoration of this one. Slightly overpaid for it on ebay, and either the seller never looked at the floor pans, or he has a lack of integrity… Needs floor pans, complete dash console, could use an interior refresh, and GOD, what’s up with the engine….I figure 12 months. I don’t see what’s so bad about the wedge!! It’s actually a pretty decent, low-performance sportscar with really good visibility and a great conversation starter.
