Toyota Celica 1973

This is my 1973 Celica that I use for a track car. It’s highly modified. I participate in HPDE track events with Car Guys Inc. at VIR and Summit Point. I’ve also started to take up drifting for fun. So far I’ve only done practice events, but it’s a lot of fun and I’d encourage people to try it and see for them selves! Engine • LC Engineering Stage 3 cylinder head. o LC Stage 3 cam. o LC Double valve springs. o LC Adjustable timing gear (double row). o LC stage 3 port and polish. o Fastened with ARP head studs. o Rocker stands are milled slightly to get the proper lift. o LC Engineering Stroker block, 94mm bore, notched for a stroker crank. o CP forged dome pistons (12.5:1 compression.). o Eagle cro-moly rods. o LC Engineering crank scraper. o ARP main studs and connecting rod bolts. o LC Engineering Underdrive pulley set. • Everything Else: o Dual Mikuni 44PHH carbs. o Mikuni Intake, port matched to the head. o Hedman shorty header. o 2.5” exhaust to a Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler in back. o Tru-cool oil cooler. o Spal electric fan (pusher) with thermostat control. o TAPP Inc. custom aluminum radiator. o 3 quart accusump with mechanical valve. • Driveline: o Fidanza 11lb aluminum flywheel. o ACT Heavy duty clutch and pressure plate. o W50 5 speed manual. o Welded differetial with 3.9 gear. Suspension Mods FRONT: o Shortened strut casings with adjustable Koni race shocks o Ground Control coil overs with caster camber plates (350lb/in springs), o Poly bushings o Custom strut brace o Battle Version “negative” roll center spacers o RA28 front discs with Carbotech XP10 pads. REAR: o QA1 adjustable race shocks with Afco 225lb/in springs o Poly/heim control arms with full heim panhard rod o AE86 rear disc brakes with Carbotech XP8 pads o Willwood in cab proportioning valve. Electronics o Crane HI-6 ignition. Adjustable rev limiter. o Crane high performance coil. o Newer 22R distributor with magnetic pickup. o Accel 8mm plug wires. o Trunk mounted battery (12 lbs) Wheels • Street: Polished Celica Supra 14X7 (X4), 195/60/R14 Falken Azenis • Race: Painted Gunmetal Celica Supra 14X7 (X4), 205/55/R14 Kumho V700 • Race: Diamond Racing Wheels 13X7 (X4), 9.0X20.0 Hoosier Slicks • Drift: Painted Gunmetal Celica Supra 14X7 (X2), cheap tires • Drift: Celica Supra 15X6 (X4), cheap tires

Great car!! good to see im not the only vintage celica fan here... mines on page 2. If you ever need any bits let me know, since 1984 Ive owned,worked on,parted out,etc over 2 dozen first gen celicas... so my shed is full of spares. lamps, trim, widgets etc....

Very nice Celica, especially with all your serious performance mods/hardware. And I'm not just saying that because I also have a Toyota.
