Just how quick is the 2025 BMW Z4 M40i on track compared to the Toyota GR Supra?
We took the new Z4 to the Grassroots Motorsports official test track, the Florida International Rally & Motorsport Park (FIRM), to find out.

It would be interesting to see one of these vs a base-ish boxster. Its the closest car I can think of. It certainly would be high on my list if I lived somewhere warm enough to a vert to make sense.

I definitely see the crossover there–a sporty, luxury-ish convertible that's also available with a manual.
If it helps at all, a first-gen Boxster S set a fastest lap time of 1:26.98.

Our project 2014 Porsche Cayman also set a lap of 1:25.14, not a Boxster but similar in the same way as Z4 and Supra.

Someone made the comment on the Youtube video that BMW sold close to 1500 manual Z4s last year and I was honestly stunned. I figured this would be a mid triple digit take rate, but those are pretty strong numbers.

Which one looks better? Is there such a thing as too fat of a steering wheel? What's the thickness of that thing?
