I did not think it was possible to outshine the glitter of the Las Vegas Strip–that is until I saw the cars of the 2024 Las Vegas Concours gleaming on the verdant golf course at the Wynn Resort.

Now in its third year at the five-star resort, the November 1-3 event has hit its stride as a serious concours in a setting that no other can replicate. The Wynn Resort is designed from the ground up to host large numbers of guests in luxury, and the staff has applied their very adept skills to the concours genre.
It has been said that “luxury is the absence of hassle,” and the Wynn put this into practice at the concours. While at the event, one never had to wait for anything, as there were always several Wynn staff members nearby to help you with whatever you need, whether it is a shuttle ride to the nearby transporter lot, a golf cart to carry you around the venue, or a fresh cocktail in the VIP area.
A serious concours is not crafted by luxurious service alone, and the Wynn presented a schedule that is the envy of any concours on the planet. Starting with a gathering of 75 hypercars on Friday night, the Sunset GT artfully staged on the roof of the Wynn’s parking garage was capped off by all 75 cars revving their engines at once.

Sunday’s concours assembled 275 cars displayed across five categories: Concours d’Elegance, Speed, Culture, Innovation, and Ultra-Luxury and Coach Built.
The concours featured significant cars from major collections in well-presented classes scrutinized by world renown judges with docent tours led by distinguished automotive historians.
Pre- and post-war best of show winners were awarded to the 1931 Duesenberg Model J Taper Tail Speedster by Weymann, presented by the General William Lyon family of Coto de Caza, California, and the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta by Scaglietti, presented by David MacNeil of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
On Sunday morning, the Las Vegas PD hosted the concours cars on raucous cruise on the famed, and closed to other traffic, Las Vegas Strip.
