When Queen Elizabeth II turned 90 in 2016, it is believed this AC Cobra MkIII was invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the special occasion. But, that’s just a little bit of what makes this Cobra special.

AC Cars built this example when it revived the MkIII with a limited run of continuation models. This is believed to be No. 7, and the last built specifically for racing.

AC used this Cobra as its promotional car in 2016. It became a bit of a media darling, receiving ink from publications such as Octane, Classic Cars and Top Gear, the latter of which had Richard Hammond take it out for a drive.

Find this 1998 AC Cobra 427 MkIII Roadster with Hardtop for auction at Bonhams, with an estimated value of £170,000-£220,000 (approximately $230,000-$300,000 USD).
