What would a Mustang Mach 1 turned up to 11 look like? This restomodded example should give you a good idea.
Starting with a rust-free Mach 1, the Mustang’s original Cobra Jet 428 was blueprinted and rebuilt to 465 cubic inches, resulting in an output of 490 horsepower and 517 lb.-ft. of torque. A five-speed Tremec TKO 600 transmission was fitted to handle the gear changes.
In order to keep the rest of the car up to pace with the more powerful engine, the Mach 1 was also fitted with a more modern suspension and brake setup that includes Maier racing springs, adjustable Koni shocks and disc brakes fitted with Baer 6-piston calipers.
