The Toyota 2000GT is perhaps one of the most significant vehicles in the company’s history. And this may be one of the most original examples of the iconic sports car.
The car remained in the same ownership for 45 years. It had last been registered for road use in 1993, and has not been run in several years. Thankfully, it remained in storage in a garage in California.
The seller remarks, “Showing less than 41,000 miles, the 2000 GT is unrestored and appears quite original and intact throughout, retaining its original black vinyl interior, Mikuni-Solex carburetors, and magnesium wheels.” They add, “Notably, it is offered with its rarely seen, original tool kit and still wears the six-digit California license plate that it was assigned in 1977.”
