Representing one of the most sophisticated iterations of the DB2/4 platform, this 1957 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk III is one of 197 saloon examples completed in left-hand drive. After years in storage and some restorations, it is set to reemerge to the Aston Martin realm.
Boasting its original paint and matching-numbers engine, this Aston Martin has been owned by only three individuals and was secluded from the collector car scene for quite some time. Subsequently, it came into the possession of Don Ludewig, a Michigan-based racing enthusiast, who kept the car in storage until 2011. Following Mr. Ludewig's passing in 2022, his Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk III was inherited by the consignor, a dear friend and fellow racing enthusiast.
In 2019, the Aston had a $90,000 mechanical makeover that included ditching the bumpers, popping in fog lamps, and rocking a Monza-style fuel cap. But don't worry, the original parts are all tucked away in case a factory reset is more your taste.
