Pocket Change!!!   ( for some people smiley).   A bit too pricey for me but a great museum piece!

When I arrived in SF 1970 after driving cross-country in a new 914 first thing I did was stop at the Belmont Porsche dealership. They had just taken in a 1969 911E Targa, British racing green with Creme interior, 37k miles.

The after-market exhaust was almost better than sex!

I  immediately traded in the 914,just a few problems after traveling CC! This was living the California Porsche dream.

Don't I wish.....

Sold for $254,911. At $100/hr, the restoration alone was at least $300K. I guess this is a case where even long- nose 911s aren't immune to not re- covering all the restoration costs. Well-bought?
