Looking for a Shelby that’s a bit more obscure? How about this 1989 Shelby Shadow CSX?
The CSX was the last production car Shelby did in collaboration with the Chrysler Corporation. 500 were made, but only about 200 are known to still exist.
This car was collector-owned, and comes with a wealth of documentation and, of course, a Carroll Shelby signature on the center console.

Family friends had a matching pair of his and hers Shelby Shadows. For very unfortunate and sad reasons, the family was forced to relocate suddenly several hundred miles away and so my mother and I took up the job of transporting their vehicles to them. What I remember from that 15 hour road trip is that the car was surprisingly quick, comfortable, engaging, and could eat up country roads in a hurry. I also recall the combination of seating position and fixed steering column meant I couldn't see the top of the speedo from 45-95mph, resulting in me passing a statie on a Georgia country road at 75mph+ in a 45. Fortunately, as things were back then, the ticket wasn't horrendously expensive and I received no points on my Florida license. I was 18.
