Bernie Ecclestone, aka “F1 Supremo,” once acquired this 1939 Lancia Astura car for his large collection. However, he wasn’t the only notable owner of this example.
The Astura was completed a mere two weeks before the outbreak of World War II. Its reputed first owner? The fascist dictator of Italy at the time, Benito Mussolini.
In 2020, the Lancia Astura was “extensively restored,” with an invoice from Jonathan Wood Vintage & Thoroughbred Restorations Ltd totaling £11,898 (approximately $16,105).
Find this 1939 Lancia Astura Series IV Convertible for auction at Bonhams, with an estimated value of CHF 280,000-CHF 400,000 (approximately $340,000-$490,000 USD).
