What does one of the greatest guitarists purchase for a car? Well, in the case of Eric Clapton, he once owned this 1970 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Berlinetta.
This is a rare UK-market, right-hand-drive example, with less than 160 produced.
Of those 160, only a handful were Plexiglas models. That moniker refers to the material covering the headlights. Ferrari made Plexiglas models through the middle of 1969 before replacing the headlights with pop-up ones to comply with U.S. regulations.
Find this 1970 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’ Berlinetta up for auction at Bonhams, with an estimated value of £450,000-£550,000 ($565,000-$690,000 USD).
