Sure, a Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R is rare–Ford made just 107 of them for 1993. However, how many have only 62 miles on the odometer?
The R stands for “race-prepped,” and it comes with all the performance goodies. We’re not talking solely the 235-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8; five-speed manual transmission; and Traction-Lok axle, either.
The R Competition Package meant beefier, four-wheel disc brakes; additional cooling for the power steering and oil; more robust front struts and rear shocks; upgraded front and rear springs, as well as front stabilizer bar; heavy-duty aluminum radiator; and a unique rear spoiler.
Other upgrades include lighter bucket seats and a radio and a/c delete. The Ford Special Vehicle Team built this with the track in mind while still riding the line of keeping the car still street legal.
