Neat. Here's the car in action in 1998:

During his time as a Subaru works driver, what did rally legend Colin McRae pilot in his off-hours? This MG Metro 6R4, apparently.
Far from the pedestrian MG Metro, the 6R4 was a rally weapon through and through, purpose-built for the WRC’s now-infamous Group B, with a mid-mounted V6 good for over 400 horsepower.
British racing driver and famed team owner Tom Walkinshaw initially owned the 6R4, which would later be raced in various rallies by drivers Tony Davies and Raymond Munro.
After McRae acquired the MG, he used it for course car work in the 1998 Colin McRae Stages Rally. (As the seller notes, the event also offered the rare opportunity to see a 6R4 driven “in anger with such skill and control.”)
Currently prepared for tarmac rallies, the car underwent a bare-metal restoration under current ownership.
Find this 1987 MG Metro 6R4 'Group B' Rally Car for auction from Bonhams, with an estimated value of £250,000-£300,000 (approximately $340,000-$410,000 USD).
