Aston Martin only fit 32 examples of the DB4 convertible with the uprated “Special Series” engine. This is one of them, retaining its original SS engine.
This DB4 has been cared for by the same owner since 1972. It was restored between 2007 and 2010, with receipts totaling more than £140,000 (approximately $180,000 USD).
RM Sotheby’s calls this DB4 a “worthy entrant to events and shows,” and it won the 2016 Jarnac Concours d’Elegance.
Find this 1963 Aston Martin DB4 ‘SS Engine’ Series V Convertible up for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $750,000-$1,000,000.
