Ford Europe made only 200 road-going examples of the RS200 so the company could enter the car into the Group B rally.
British engineer Tony Southgate, the man behind the Le Mans-winning Jaguar XJR-9, developed the chassis. Italian coachbuilder Ghia designed the body. British firm Cosworth engineered the turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine.
This particular example, chassis No. 169, is “thought to have remained at the Ford Motorsport Boreham facility in the UK until 1994 and believed to be the last customer delivered car. Only 3500 original miles with a recent full service.”
