What was I doing when I was 17? Sure as heck wasn't driving an open-wheel race car at over 100 mph.
My hat's off to you, Doreen.

Sure, MG only made eight examples of the Q-Type, but this particular Q-Type owns a piece of history. With it, a 17-year-old Doreen Evans won the Second Haw Handicap in 1935 at a record-breaking 101.7 mph.
The history of this Q-Type is fairly well documented, passing through the hands of several racers over the years. It competed at the famed Brooklands over the years, too.
The MG was restored from 2019 to 2020 and is eligible for entry in the Goodwood Revival.
Find this 1934 MG Q-Type Monoposto up for auction at Bonhams, with an estimated value of $180,000-$230,000.
