What did Sylvester Stallone do in between Rocky III and Rocky IV? He bought this 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4.
Stallone purchased the Ferrari from Hollywood talent agent Michael Ovitz. Ovitz co-founded the Creative Artists Agency, which had clients such as Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise and Stallone. Ovitz also served as president of The Walt Disney Company, albeit just for 16 months, from 1995 to 1997.
The Ferrari was originally finished in Oro Kelso, but Ovitz had it repainted to its current black. Stallone owned the car through the late 1980s or, in Rocky terms, through Rocky V. It then went through the hands of several owners before the consignor’s father acquired it in 1992.
Find this 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 by Pininfarina at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $125,000-$150,000.
