Love vintage Bentleys but also like American style? Well, this 1931 Bentley comes with custom coachwork courtesy of Frank Hershey, of the Walter M Murphy Company.

Walter M Murphy built custom bodies from 1922 to 1932. After that Hershey moved onto GM, then Packard, and later Ford. His famous designs? 1949 Cadillac tailfins and the 1955 Ford Thunderbird.

Back to this Bentley, it’s won some honors over the years. It made the 2000 book, “The Art of the Automobile: The 100 Greatest Cars” by Dennis Adler. It also was exhibited at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and once again at Pebble Beach years later where it took second in class.

Find this 1931 Bentley 8-Litre Convertible Victoria by Murphy at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $2,750,000-$3,250,000.

A beautiful, unique luxury car with Bentley power!  The right-hand drive would simplify retrieving mail from my distant, curb-located mailbox.  I must bid on this motorcar.
