Derek Bell won Le Mans five times, with four of those wins coming in a Porsche. Who better to give a Porsche 928 S4 Club Sport prototype than to him?

The German automaker built five prototypes altogether, presented to all five of the company’s factory drivers at the time: Jochen Mass, Hans Stuck, Jacky Ickx, Bob Wollek and Derek Bell.

While Bell was said to be reluctant to accept a left-hand-drive model to use in his native U.K., he did take delivery of it … and kept it until 2005.

Find this 1987 Porsche 928 S4 Club Sport “Prototype” for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $260,000-$310,000.
