The Porsche 906 scored endurance-race victories all over the world. Class wins at Daytona, Le Mans, Sebring, Monza, Spa and Nürburgring may quickly come to mind. However, don’t forget about its presence in Japan. This 906 won Japan’s biggest endurance race, the Suzuka 1000km, not just once, but twice.

With Shintaro Taki and Tadashi Sakai behind the wheel, the Porsche 906 emerged victorious at the 1967 Suzuka 1000km. Tomohiko Tsutsumi and Jiro Yoneyama used the 906 to win the 1969 Suzuka 1000km.

The seller calls this car, “one of the most raced, and most successful, of all surviving 906s.” They further state it’s a “highly original matching-numbers example” and “eligible for a multitude of premiere league competition events around the world.”

Find this 1966 Porsche 906 up for auction at Bonhams, with an estimated winning bid of $2,200,000-$2,500,000.
