A prototype, Chevy V8-powered Lister Costin

More than just an early model, this 1959 Lister Costin–BHL 121–is the very first example ever built, a prototype fitted with a 327 cubic-inch Chevrolet V8.

BHL 121’s first owner, John Ewer, would go on to race the Lister at Snetterton, Goodwood, and Silverstone not long after taking delivery.

Billed as fully race prepped, the car is eligible for many historic racing events worldwide and has even been invited to the Goodwood Revival.

Curious..  '62 was the first production year for the 327.  Is this a later change or was the engine a bored and stroked 283?

Good question. I went back through the listing to see if it mentioned your concerns, but I wasn't able to find anything.

Let me try and do a little more digging and see what I can find.
