That is fantastic! The driveshaft being done is a big check mark on the to-do list.

Yes. Moog 372 but the u joint had 350F cast in it. The yoke used came out of a 99 Silverado 1500.
In reply to Stampie :
Right
I could see it was a gm yoke by the injection hole
assumed it was an import shaft and was just wondering how that worked out!
Great job!

You can have them sent here if you like. If the wheels are here I can do it all when the tires are delivered.
Tires will be here Tuesday. May I bring them and the wheels to you that afternoon/evening?

Hearsay but the driveshaft came out of a C4.
Aluminum? Did it come from me at some point? I had an Aluminum c4 shaft that I'm pretty sure I gave to a fellow grmer.
In reply to wvumtnbkr :
Yes aluminum but it came from surfshibby07 from when he ran it.
In related news removing this shift cable kicked my shiny today. Some damn engineer put a PITA spring on top of the steering shaft to hold it in place.
On 4/2 or 4/3, post a list of parts / supplies / tools / etc that you need to make the car run and drive and steer and stop and pass tech.

It was me. I did it for my people. Because engineers hate you at least as much as you hate us.

Just wanted to say the Mazda engineers are better. They knew we'd need the perfect size hole for the GM body grommet to fit in.

Make it in some way, or put rubber on it so it doesn't slide and touch both terminals.
In reply to wvumtnbkr :
We agreed. Made a new hold down bracket from our free wheelbarrow and put a shield on it to protect the terminals.
That was leading up to this.
All needed systems wired up to the panel and basically need to be hooked to the battery and/or fuse panel. Headlights and brake lights working per Challenge rules. Engine not running yet.
