If I had more room and were just a little more masochistic...

Hmm, maybe that would be a good place for my free 460.

Okay, somebody talk me down.

Pull Jag V12, install rebuilt 460. Drag race.

Install Jag V12 in '31 Model A four door. Have coolest berkeleying car on planet. (Also drag race.)

Tell me why this is a bad idea.

I'm with you with the exception of the 460/drag racing thing......a nice LSX motor...coupla turbo's...6 speed...

That one uber cool rat rod link that shows up here every now an then has a roadster with a V-12. Pure sweetness.

See, the only reason I'm down with the 460 is that it was free, and I'm halfway done with the rebuild. (I'm keep the stock 8.x:1 compression ratio, so I'll almost certainly turbocharge it eventually.) And the '31 Model A is what it was eventually going into.

But, man, a V12 hanging out there in the open in front of that sweet four door with a veritable pipe organ of exhaust pipes and twelve open intakes... Could it get any cooler?

Why in god's name would you want anyone to talk you out of this?

Think about all the extra room you'll have when you get that 460 off the engine stand and into the Jag.

Sounds like a plan ACarlson, and with this support I guess you're doing it, haha

Looks like the Jag could even be challenge material

Screw you guys.

What about this Jag V12? I know less than nothing about these things. How much trouble would I be getting myself into on that front?

Check out www.johnscars.com They make SBC/BBC/LSx swap kits for Jags....not cheap, but they have probably the best reputation for quality.

Or you could buy a welder. :) Y'know, if you're really into the whole "cheap" thing.

ACarlson, this one's for you:

And yeah, you'll need a 460 to get that fat chick to dance.

Sweet.

See, only thing that could make that T cooler: if it were a four door A sedan, like so:
