Not mine, yada yada yada

Seller said: Must sell this weekend. Great project car. New paint, new tires, new exhaust. Needs brake work, fuel system going through, and throwout bearing on clutch. Interior cosmetics needs some TLC as dash has cracks. My wife was second owner of this car and has owned it since 1988. Tired of looking at it in the driveway. You will need to tow it away or flat bed this car as the brakes have no pressure. First $1200 (firm) cash before Saturday at 7pm gets it. Great start to a classic German '80's icon. Call Mark at four zero four three one four two six zero four

cut that price in half and it would be a pretty good deal. I miss my 83 CGT

Double that price and it would be a good deal.

I was looking for a CGT last year and everything I found was rusty messes for $3-4k. $1200 is a freakin' steal.

I have a spare Syncro rear beam, should bolt right up to a CGT. Not A Quattro 2 !

I think when I retire I'm going to start making monthly trips to Atlanta with my trailer to bring back whatever looks interesting, give it a quick mechanical and cosmetic once-over, and flip up here.

wow, i guess CGTs have gone up in value then. I bought mine 6-7 years ago needing a fuel pump for $300. Maybe it's just me but i wouldn't pay over 1k for a CGT i couldn't drive home. these seem like better deals

Not fer nuthin', but finding 5 of them cheap in such a huge area doesn't make them common.

In reply to Tom_Spangler:

I'm not saying they are common I just think the one in Atlanta is overpriced and was showing what I thought would probably be better examples for the money.

IIRC, a cracked windshield makes the car worthless - it's NLA for a long time.

Or maybe I'm thinking of the Coupe Quattro.; (B3 chassis that is)

OTOH, if the CGT uses the same windshield as the ur-q, there's a company in the UK that sells a heated windscreen for the ur-q for only 260 pounds, so probably $1k shipped, which ain't bad compared to how much an OEM Audi windshield costs.

I don't think the windshield is cracked. Think it's the dash that is cracked
