Not sure if you could get it down the the challenge budget, but it isn't that far off. Discuss.

I'm quite sure it possible to get it down to challenge price. No title will help with that price itself.

It's like the dirty love child of a 7 and an 80s mr2. I like it too except for that top. Woof

Cue the enabler chant: Do it! Do it! Do it!
Or you could drywall the man's garage apparently. Challenge budget - zero?
I am not at all in love with the top or the rear treatment! But pull the A series? and drop a 2.0L L20B in there and you would have a screamer! It is probably plenty fast as is, but more is always better, right?
I'd unbolt the clamshell fenders and replace them with cycle style ones. I've seen a Dutton in person and I think they look fine.
Maybe I'm sick, but I love that hardtop and the rear bodywork. If this was anywhere in the PNW I'm pretty sure I would be dragging it home.
So, other than buying this one, where would you get the rear bodywork? Because this may finally get me to build a locost.
The hard top? Probably make one or adapt something, or luck out and find a kit with one like this. They aren't standard between sevenesque cars.
I was more referring to the fenders/trunk/spoiler setup. Pretty much doors back, fiberglass body stuff.
That's specific to this kit. Usually they use sheet metal over a steel frame for the "trunk" with fiberglass fenders.
I'm in Michigan, have trailer and empty stall. If only I had cash this would be mine. I have wanted one of these ever since I drove a resto-mod 1966 7 across the UP many years ago. Not the answer but real and fun.
When I contacted the guy he said someone is coming from far away to pick it up on Saturday with a trailer
Just an update for those that might be interested. Appears this was an attempt at a flip. Listed on Toledo's list of craigs now. Looks like the same car at twice the price: https://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/5324729906.html
Crap deal that some flipper ruined a perfectly good challenge car.
