Just saw this on CL. Not mine, but sounds like an almost complete project. Just provide the SBC:

1991 Nissan 300zx Z32 SBC - $2000 (northside) I am selling my project car, a 1991 Nissan 300zx (Slick Top). I have owned this car since 1997 and it has been a great car and well now it’s time to let it go. This car has been modified to accept a SBC (small block Chevy) I have done extensive firewall and transmission tunnel modifications to make this happen. I have attached links below to my project thread to show the extent of all the modifications that have been done to this car. I am selling the ROLLING CHASSIS only through this ad although I will entertain reasonable offers for everything. It will include everything you need to bolt in a SBC or similar platform of your choice.

List of what you get: • 1991 Nissan 300zx (Slick Top) rolling chassis • Custom engine mounts built for a SBC / TH350 combo with a transmission mount • Factory Nissan radiator • Transmission cooler • Setup with a dual line lock (for staging and burnout) • Extensively modified rear sub frame with a 350z carrier (3.35:1 gear ratio) welded spool • I have most of the interior trim pieces

Keep in mind this IS a project car and will need work. The body is in decent shape but will need body work and paint. The driver seat bolster is torn so the seats will need to be recovered unless you plan to make it a track car which was my plan. The car is extremely light for what it is. It weighed in at 2850lbs on corner scales with a LT1 / 4L60E combo with a trunk full of crap and a half a tank of gas. I imagine it would be a bit less now since I’ve taken a lot of crap out of the car since.

This car would be for someone that loves the clean lines of a 300zx and wants the power of a SBC. This is not for someone that wants to make a daily driver out of it as it would be too much work to get it back to that point. This would be perfect as a weekend cruiser to muscle down the road a bit and a great drag car.

I am pretty Firm on my asking price as I don’t have to sell the car but just don’t have the time and money to keep dumping into it.

SERIOUS INQUERYS ONLY!

If you read all the captions and really look at everything you should be able to determine what it would take to finish up. This project was running recently but I took it apart to go with a blowthru carb setup.
