Went to pick up some factory seat belts for the car from an NB, on a hunch they might work (they didnt) and while i was there he said he had a harness bar for 50 bucks. So naturally i snagged it.
Today i installed it and got a pair of 5 point harnesses for free. Although they dont have any sort of dates on them. But they look new.
With a week until the challenge, its time to try and polish a turd and make the car as "comical" as it is to drive...

Thank you to all. I will say it photos much better than it looks up close. But for a sub 20.dollar paint job, it's not terrible.

As ready as she will be this year. Leaving Friday morning. Mon through Thursday i have work away from home in South Florida so today was my finish day. Viper has also been giving me issues but looking forward to a fun weekend with both cars!

Was a great time at the challenge! The miata exceeded all expectations and survived to boot!
Battled a few folks in the autocross and won gtn$ and was second fastest budget car behind andy in the mr2 ny .026 seconds... but he earned it for sure!
Then the drags i could only manage a 13.5 @ 106 with the lack of traction i had.
Concourse took 2nd place which is a best for me. Its the first time ive ever placed in all 3 categories. Going to ride this high into next year with what i hope to be a pretty radical build.
The car will npw most likely be usednas a track car and most likely go over budget. If i can do it right i should be able to take the car from over budget to under by swapping parts. But not sure if it will return under budget again.

It was some rustoleum green and white as well as a wide tip sharpie from lowes lol
