Blues Brother special.......
I just want to say that "Finally cleared away enough debris to take out the front and rear seats" is one of the most GRM things I've read in a while.
Janky Panther Special
as for bells ringing, which nobody has mentioned, i remember Al's name from past Challenges. Didn't you build the Caddy 500-powered E21, red and white, with gigantic drag slicks?
Janky Panther Special or Herpes Rental Car decals would be super easy. I'd be happy to donate decals to the cause, just say the word.

Now the front license plate holder is off. Started with a large amount of Goof-Off on the glue from the side molding. Found an old can of red caliper paint for the calipers. Cut the flat steel and bar for the Harness Bar. Tack that into place soon.

The trunk picture gives me anxiety however, this VIC has great potential!
It's got a cop motor, a 4.6 plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. What do you say, is it the new $2000 Challenge or what?
The motor in these cars is exactly the same as any run of the mill CV Grandpa bought off the lot.

I'm not 100%, but I think OjaiM5 is making a Blues Brothers reference?
Lol. Sorry, slightly before my time. I think that movie came out the gear I was born.
I think this is the most relevant, context providing, clip...
we now return you to your regularly scheduled challenge build

Love this car. I remember sitting bored at my boring job at 21 years of age reading about this in the magazine right before I joined the Army. Good memories.
Sent you a PM about the "lift" kit you found. Looking to build my CV into an offroad machine, so depending on the setup I might be interested. Could also help you on the overall budget of the car.
Having owned way to many panther platform cars myself this is cool. Love the build.
I'm also one of the admins on the crownvic.net Facebook if you're on there, we'd love to have you

I'll guess we will be consider CAM. Not sure if we have to do anything before we get there or not. We are certainly over 3300 pounds (possibly even kilos)

Ah I see. Thanks for the info on those. Think I'm going to stick to the ones that bolt in above the front struts for a little extra durability.
